Your data, your device

Crux Logs does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any server. Your climbing data lives on your device and syncs to your other Apple devices via iCloud if you have it enabled. We never see it.
All climbing sessions, climbs, projects, and settings are stored locally on your device in an on-device SQLite database. If you have iCloud enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices through Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure. Crux Logs has no backend servers and no user accounts.
When you attach photos or videos to a climb, Crux Logs stores a reference to the media in your device’s photo library. The app never copies, uploads, or processes your media files. If you delete a photo from your library, it will no longer appear in Crux Logs.
Crux Logs does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party services. We do not track how you use the app. The only analytics we see are aggregate, anonymous data from App Store Connect (download counts, crash reports) which Apple provides to all developers.
The optional tip jar is processed entirely through Apple’s App Store. Crux Logs does not handle any payment information.
Your data is yours. It lives on your device and syncs via iCloud. You can delete all data at any time from Settings.
